Troop 372 (1940)

Since 1940 Our Troop/Cub scouts have set high standards in the community and has been developing boy's into fine young men. Our Chartering sponsor Back River United Methodist Church has been there for us since the charter was first signed back in 1940. Many of our boys have gone on to do great things with their lives and have left their mark on the world. We hold true to our roots by also supporting our troop as well with talented young men who have matured with the values of the scouting program.
We meet every Monday night @7:00PM at Back River United Methodist Church located at 544 Back river Neck Road.
We offer many different programs throughout the year to meet each boys specific requirements. There are Pack activities every month and a variety of tasks the boys must achieve to advance in their dens. Cub scouts is designed for grades 1-5 (Age 6-10) starting as a tiger cub, wolf, bear and then webelos 1 and 2. After the cub scout earns his Arrow of Light award he can then cross over into the Boy Scout Program.

Scouting promises you the great outdoors. As a Scout, you can learn how to camp and hike without leaving a trace and how to take care of the land. You’ll study wildlife up close and learn about nature all around you. There are plenty of skills for you to master, and you can teach others what you have learned.
